Certified or ‘sworn’ translations

Under Brazilian legislation, a ‘sworn translation’ attested by an official translator is required to certify validity of official documents originally written in a foreign language if they are to produce legal effect at federal, state or municipal level or for any instance of a tribunal or court or other government supervised or controlled entity.

Official or ‘sworn’ translations are validly notarized all over Brazil and recognized in most other countries too.

Free translation

A free translation is one that does not have to be used for official purposes in the sense of being notarized or producing legal effect. Usually sent by e-mail, they may be made by official or other translators, but in all cases the same high level of quality is assured.Recension
